A few ideas (some better than others): 

Save the paper bibs and have numbers printed on the shirts?  I know traditionally Nike has sponsored the race &amp; supplied the shirts, so I don&#039;t know if they would do this.  Here&#039;s a company that does:  http://www.wearyournumber.com/

Use recycle-able cups for water stops (and recycle them, of course).

Long shot:  ask participants to bring their own plates, utensils &amp; cups for the post-race breakfast?

Just a few thoughts.  I&#039;m looking forward to the 2009 race (already!).</description>
