5th Annual Lone Gull 10K…It’s a wrap!
Thank you everybody who participated in yesterday’s Lone Gull 10K. It has been a great 5 years and we will all be sad to see the race come to an end. Special thanks goes out to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and families for making this race a reality. We went from having 300 runners our first year to becoming one of the premier races on the North Shore. We raised over $6K for this year’s race that will be donated to charity. Thanks again and the results are listed below:
One Week To Go!!!
Runners (and those interested in running),
An email will be sent out to all registered runners sometime tomorrow in regards to the final race details. I will outline some important points below for anybody who doesn’t feel like waiting for the email. This year’s Lone Gull 10K will in fact be its final running. It has been a great five years and I really want to thank all of the runners, volunteers, sponsors, and most of all my family for helping and putting up with my September stress! So here are some details for the race:
1) Pre-race packet pickup is available at New England Running Company on Friday (10-7) and Saturday (9:30-6).
2) You can pickup your numbers and shirts on raceday starting at 7:30 AM at Good Harbor Beach.
3) You can sign up for the race on raceday.
4) There is plenty of free parking available at Good Harbor Beach.
5) We will not be holding on to shirts that have not been picked up so after the race it will be on a first come, first serve basis.
6) Good luck to all runners!!!!!
Summer is here and LG10K will follow shortly…
The registrations have been coming in fast and furious but there are still plenty of shirts left. We are just over 100 entrants so we’re ahead of last year’s pace. If you have sent in your application but did not receive an email confirmation please check the entrant list on the registration page to confirm your entry has been received.
Runners who have participated in all five of the LG10K’s will receive a small token of appreciation at the conclusion of this year’s race. I will post the list shortly.
Registration is Open for The 5th Annual Lone Gull 10K
The online registration is now open for the 5th Annual Lone gull 10K. I have also added a link on the registration page where you can check to confirm your entry status. Please check that page before emailing as to whether or not your entry has been accepted. Mailed in entries may take up to a week to get entered so be patient.
On a side note, this race is rapidly becoming one of the premier events on the North Shore. Please spread the word to all your friends and have them come out and join us for the run. We are all very thankful for your participation in this event and hope to see it grow to become one of the premier events in all of New England. The Lone Gull 10K is organized by runners for runners and we understand any and all of the frustrations with events that don’t live up to what they advertise. 5th Annual Lone Gull 10K…09/18/2011
Spring is right around the corner and we are working on opening registration for the race within the next couple of weeks. This is our 5th running of the event and runners who have run all 5 will get a special treat!!! Stay tuned for further details. The website will be updated with info as it comes in.

Thanks to everybody who made this year’s Lone Gull 10K such a successful race…again!!! We had a great turnout, great weather, and a great time. A special thanks goes out to all of our sponsors (check the sponsor page for info) and to all of the volunteers who woke up at 5 AM to make this race happen. In the Swing of Things…
The shirts have been dropped off at the printers and everything else is under way for this year’s race. Entries are coming in everyday at a steady pace so once again please register early if you want a Nike short-sleeve technical shirt! They are a great color this year too and you’re all sure to love them. Also, if you sign up for the race and don’t pick your packet up before or at the race we will NOT hold onto or mail your shirts.
Thanks again for all of you who have supported this year’s race and/or any of the past races. We couldn’t put on such an event with out your support.

Happy Memorial Day and thanks to all of you who have served and sacrificed. Registration has been going great thus far and the numbers are ahead of last year! Nike has provided us with really nice technical short sleeve shirts this year and the color is great (thanks Brian). We are very excited for this year’s race as there is a lot of buzz due to the various athletic endeavors that Cape Ann hosts every year. Don’t forget to sign-up early if you want a shirt!

Registration is almost open for this year’s race. I am in the process of getting the site updated so please be patient. The Fourth Annual Lone Gull 10K will be feature chip timing again but the chips will be disposable and there will be a starting mat in addition to the finish mat. I will update this post once the online entry is all set.
